Forever Deadward

          A Vampire Musical Parody

Forever Deadward - The Vampire Musical Parody became a pop culture phenomenon when it had it's off-Broadway premier at New World stages in 2012. Forever Deadward was featured on (among others) MTV, E! Entertainment, Entertainment Weekly, Perez Hilton, and CNN, and received across the board rave reviews (see Press.)

Originally conceived in the summer of 2009, Forever Deadward is a loving parody musical that comments on our culture of obsession. Inspired by the book Counterfeit Gods, The show was originally developed as a youtube project in the spring of 2010 at the LABA theater in NYC, and continued it's development garnering ever increasing interest, and attention leading to it's presentation at New World Stages - all proceeds of which went to benefit the wonderful charity organization Blessings in a Backpack

Written by Ashley Griffin, with additional music and lyrics by Jeremy EzellDavid Mallamud, and Michael Sutherland, Forever Deadward features a contemporary pop rock score a la Rent, and Spring Awakening. The show is directed by Gabriel Barre (for full cast and crew see links in the Press section.)

Oh, and Harry, Ron, and Hermione make an appearance as well, (along with numerous other pop culture references and commentary.) This is a thinking man's parody.
